27th Avenue Beach Approach

Catch a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean from 27th Avenue Beachfront Park. The parking area is used mostly by families wanting a traffic-free beach. South of 27th, there is no driving allowed on the beach. Known as New Smyrna Beach's South Beach, the 100 parking spaces fill quickly on weekends and holidays. There is a $20 fee from 9AM - 5PM (seven days a week). Volusia County residents may get a FREE parking pass online with proof of residency through the City of New Smyrna Beach's website. If you are a non-resident, you may get a yearly pass for $100. All passes are distributed electronically. Amenities include a 3.4-acre park, boardwalk, basketball and racquetball courts, picnic area and pavilion, fishing, restrooms and a children's playground. Overnight parking is not permitted. This lot is not paved.
