New Smyrna Beach’s Flagler Ave will kick off the holiday season on December 3 from 5 until 8 p.m., with Light Up Flagler Ave, a holiday tradition unlike any other. For the 35th year, you can shop through special holiday deals at Flagler’s unique boutiques, enjoy delicious dining at its many eateries and enjoy multiple holiday activities. Festive events include the Great Homemade Cookie Challenge, where bakers from across our area compete to make the tastiest treat, and the many parades that will travel from bridge to beach, including the Santa Paws Dog Parade.
Discover the Magic of the Holidays Port Orange
The charming city of Port Orange has several holiday events that are sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Celebrations kick off on Sunday, December 5, at 2 p.m., with the 43rd Annual Port Orange Christmas Parade, a must-see spectacle for the entire family. This year’s parade will feature beautiful, unique floats, decorations and live music with the theme "Christmas Around the World." Port Orange is also hosting its annual Light Up Port Orange home decorating contest from December 10 through 19. Coast through this community’s sparkling streets and pick your favorite festive lights display!
Celebrate the Season Along Canal Street
Historic Canal Street truly shines during the holidays, with events throughout the season. Festivities kick off with Spark the Spirit on November 26 and continue with the Coastal Christmas Market on November 27, Girls Night Out shopping event on December 2, and Christmas Parade on December 4. All offer the perfect opportunity to enjoy the best shopping and dining along beautiful Canal Street, while soaking in the beautiful decorations that can be found lining and, for the parade, marching down the street.
Other holiday events in New Smyrna Beach include the New Smyrna Beach Parade, Southeast Volusia Boat Parade, live performances of A Christmas Story at The Little Theater; a screening of the Christmas classic Elf at the Hub on Cana, and the Merry and Bright Christmas Festival at The Grand Ol’ Barn. Select restaurants will also be hosting live local holiday music nights.
