What can be more spectacular than an evening boat tour under the light of the full moon? That is just what the Marine Discovery Center offers each month during the full moon phase. You will board a 40-foot pontoon boat and embark on a tour of the Indian River ecosystem. For a more individualized experience, try the Sunset Full Moon Kayak Paddle. The kayak tour accommodates all levels of kayakers; there is no experience necessary. On either tour, a certified Florida naturalist will fill you in on all the details of the mangroves, birds, dolphins, and other wildlife that call the Indian River Lagoon their home. Experience the wonder of the moon rising from the horizon. Encounter nature as the sun sets and the moon rises – you’ll get a whole new perspective of nature and the water.
