Celebrate Fourth of July at New Smyrna Beach

The skies above our sparkling shores will soon be bursting with red, white and blue as we honor our country’s independence. This Fourth of July, New Smyrna Beach will sing with celebration as we honor our country’s birthday with variety of events taking place around town. Come dressed in your favorite blue, red and white to join in the Fourth festivities—fireworks, food and fun!

Fireworks, Festivities & Fun

A Fourth of July celebration will be held at the Riverside Park Gazebo on Sunday, July 4, starting at 4 p.m., with food trucks, music and, of course, a sparkling firework show. Local acts like Cactus Jack & the Cadillacs will play from 5  until 9 p.m., with a firework display erupting at 9:15 p.m.

Another event being held in NSB for the holiday weekend is the ‘Fourth of July Spectacular.’ From 5:30 until 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 4, City Center Park will have live music, a kid’s zone, food trucks, a beer garden, a car show and fireworks. With social distancing still in effect, Hayfire will perform at 5:30 p.m. and the fireworks will start at 9 p.m. at the park’s soccer fields.

This year’s firework show, sponsored by Zambelli Fireworks, will take place in Hawks Park. To allow spectators to view the fireworks safely and socially distanced, the display can be seen from the comfort of your vehicle or in the large grassy soccer fields. Pull up your car or a chair! This new location for fireworks –148 West Park Avenue— can be viewed from both the Riverside Park and City Center Park celebrations.

Parks will be open to public use for picnics or to grill out. Although most of the festivities will be held at Riverside Park, the George R. Kennedy Memorial Park in Edgewater has boat ramps, a fishing pier, public restrooms, pavilions and picnic tables available for enjoyment.
