Looking for a new holiday tradition? Well, there are plenty of them in New Smyrna Beach, and the best part is that there is never any snow! People from all over choose this destination to celebrate Christmas for its warm weather and fun-filled events. The city kicks off the season on November 25 with Spark the Spirit, a holiday event on Canal Street with a tree lighting ceremony, live entertainment, and of course, a visit from Santa himself. The next day, over 90 local vendors sell handcrafted holiday goods at the Coastal Christmas Market. But it’s more than just shopping; the event includes street fare, live entertainment, and a Fun Zone for the kids with face painting, balloon animals and even a bouncy slide. Some other events include Girls Night Out on December 1, a night of shopping, wining and dining just for the ladies! There’s also a Christmas Parade on December 3 from 4-6:30pm and a Bed and Breakfast Tour on December 18. Come experience a different kind of white Christmas!
