Florida's Need For Speed

New Smyrna is home to some of the most action when it comes to high-speed racing in Florida – just don’t let it flash before your eyes! The New Smyrna Speedway is a half-mile asphalt track that hosts FASCAR (Florida Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing) races every Saturday night at 7:30pm. The racing surface was repaved in 2007, making it a frequented spot now for NASCAR teams to use for testing. It also has a smaller track for quarter midget racing – cars that are one quarter the size of a full midget car. These races occur on Friday nights. Each year, New Smyrna Speedway hosts the annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing in February, which features nine nights of consecutive racing. Starting on February 17, 2017, you can watch some of the biggest names in racing compete. Famous riders such as Ryan Newman, Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch and many others have all pedaled this track. If you’re looking for a little action when visiting the beaches of Florida, it’s all right here.
