Holiday Gift Guide

Take a peek at some of our favorite New Smyrna Beach gift ideas:

1. A T-shirt from J.B.’s Fish Camp

Rep this beloved Indian River Lagoon restaurant everywhere you go with one of their cheeky t-shirts. From psychedelic tie-dye to colorful camo, options abound. Shop online or visit the t-shirt trailer parked on-site for a look at the complete collection of merch.

2. Handmade Shoes by Artist Oralba Valera-Smith

This one-of-a-kind gift is sure to sweep anyone off their feet. Pop into The Hub on Canal to purchase these bio-friendly shoes. Valera-Smith makes each pair entirely by-hand, using breathable materials like jute and cotton.

3. Happy Head Fun Pot from Palms Up Pottery Studio

Seriously silly! We love these quirky little catchalls that come in a variety of googly-eyed creatures, from sharks to frogs to crabs. Richard Collison has owned Palms Up Pottery since 1987, and hand-builds these clay critters.

4. Photo of NSB from Ring Gallery

Gallery Owner and Photographer Mike Ring has a knack for capturing breathtaking images of our favorite barrier island. From sea vistas to the iconic local hot spots (think Flagler Avenue), these photographs are the perfect antidote for someone who’s homesick for NSB.

5. Sticker (Or Postcard. Or Print.) from Jelly Press

We’re guessing you’ve seen Chelsea Preston’s ethereal watercolor designs before. Locals affix her New Smyrna Beach sticker to just about anything—cars, laptops, water bottles, etc. Head over to the Jelly Press website to pick one up—but be sure to browse the cute-as-pie prints and postcards, too.

6. Clever Surfboards: The Grominator

Dude! These handcrafted surfboards will set you back a pretty penny, but just imagine the look on your grom’s (slang for a young surfer, if you didn’t know) face when he sees this gift under the tree. Former professional surfer Jay Smith shapes and designs these boards, so you know you’re getting the real deal. Not a surfer? These still look pretty slick when used as décor in a bedroom or game room.

7. Book about New Smyrna Beach

Brushing up on history is always a good thing. Gift your avid reader with a book on New Smyrna Beach’s past. Choose from several different titles in the gift shop at the New Smyrna Museum of History, located at 120 Sams Avenue in NSB.

8. Kountry Klutter Soaps and Candles

Most of us probably can’t afford to surprise someone with a vacation this Christmas, but we can do the next best thing. Wrap up a handmade soy candle or bar of soap from Kountry Klutter this season. With scents like key lime pie and island pear, they’ll feel like they’re back in New Smyrna Beach in no time.

9. Jewelry from Beachy Chic Designs

Adorn the one you love with some pretty baubles from Beachy Chic Designs. The seashell leather bracelet with initials (we think you should get NSB—just sayin’) is an elegant way to showcase your love for your favorite beach town. Designer Sherri Williams handcrafts each item. Visit her website to shop.

10. Wall Sign from Southern Trends Home Furnishings

Got a home decorator on your list? Then consider a “New Smyrna Beach” sign from Southern Trends Home Furnishings. Some have mermaids, others have crabs and egrets, but they all call out New Smyrna Beach. Stop into the Southern Trends shop on Canal Street to find the sign that best fits your recipient’s style.
