Here at New Smyrna Beach, we’re constantly dreaming of warm weather and splashing through our 17 miles of pristine white sand beaches. Our paradise is the perfect place to spend those early days of spring, relaxing and adventuring through our wonderland of outdoor activities. We’ve compiled some of our favorite experiences below to make it easier than ever to “spring” into planning your next New Smyrna Beach getaway!

“Wave” Hello to Adventure Under the Sea and on Land

New Smyrna Beach is perfect for those who can’t get enough of life under the sea. Named one of the best beach towns in Florida by both the Huffington Post and Smarter Travel, our area is brimming with activities to get you and your friends and family on the water. New Smyrna Beach’s artificial reefs and abundant sea life make it an ideal spot for diving. Local dive center, Sea Dogs, offers courses, certification and diving trips for visitors and locals. The area is also one of the best spots for surfing in the U.S., with instructors like those at the Jimmy Lane Surfing Academy ready to turn even the most novice surfer into a star of the sea. In addition to these activities, NSB is also an ideal location for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and, of course, relaxing in the sand.

Unbeatable adventure awaits on NSB’s many wet and dry trails, as well. Our little slice of coastal paradise is perfect for cycling, kayaking, hiking and other sporting adventures. One of our many unique parks waiting to be explored is Bulow Creek State Park, which spans nearly 5,600 acres. The park is dotted with trails ideal for hikers, and is also home to some of the oldest live oak trees in the South.

Discover Where the Trail Takes You

While many natural trails crisscross NSB, our area is also home to trails of a different kind. Whether you’re looking for a culinary adventure, outdoor journey, or a winding exploration of our rich art scene, there’s a trail to fit any and every unique experience that awaits in New Smyrna Beach. The NSB Craft Beer Trail winds its way through the area, hitting craft breweries along the way. Coffee afficionados can take a spin at the NSB Coffee Trail, which explores locally owned spots where we can get our caffeine fix. Wildlife enthusiasts can wander the Doris Leeper Preserve Trail, where you may even spot the majestic egret nesting in the treetops. No matter which trail calls your name, laid-back luxury is waiting.

Dine Under the Florida Sky

Dining at NSB is a one-of-a-kind experience. Our beachside is made up entirely of unique, locally owned restaurants, without a chain eatery in sight. Many of these beloved local spots also offer fantastic outdoor dining options. One local favorite is Norwood’s, a gem of a dining establishment that is nestled in a large live oak tree with expansive decking and enchanting lighting. Originally built as a gas station, this unique local restaurant is now a staple of New Smyrna Beach’s dining scene, perfect for enjoying one of their many delicious wines or beers, or chowing down on their mouth-watering seafood selections.

There’s so much to explore this spring at New Smyrna Beach. From a plethora of outdoor adventures, to local cuisine that will give you big city flavors in a cozy, beach town atmosphere, there’s something for everyone here. We can’t wait to see how you spring into your next NSB adventure! For more information on the area, and to start planning your vacation today, visit https://www.visitnsbfl.com/.
