When summer hits, the fun heats up in New Smyrna Beach, with activities happening weekly along the shores. From art walks to fun runs, craft fairs to craft beer, and concerts to conservation – you can find something fun to do all summer long. Starting in June, there’s the New Smyrna Beach Kite Festival…where the sky’s the limit on family fun. Next up is the Seaside Fiesta – visit Flagler Avenue for a night of entertainment, food, games, and crafts. Also in June is the New Smyrna Beach Reggae & Island Music Festival. A host of venues will present reggae and island bands, bringing the sounds of the Caribbean to the Florida coast. Foodie lovers are not forgotten in New Smyrna Beach. On July 1, you can cool off with a sweet treat during the Ice Cream Challenge. Or if savory is more your thing, stick around for the New Smyrna Beach Shrimp and Seafood Festival in mid-August. Participating restaurants line up food stations along Flagler Avenue and serve up some of their most popular seafood dishes. Finally, wrap up the extended summer season with the Jazz Festival held in late September.
