What Beach Type Are You?

With over 17 miles of sandy shores, New Smyrna Beach has plenty of oceanfront locales where you can soak up the sunshine. Local boaters love Disappearing Island Beach in Ponce Inlet. Available only at low tide, it’s a great place to meet other boaters and jump overboard and enjoy the sand and surf. Winterhaven Park is a beach featuring free parking spots, restrooms, showers, and peace and quiet. 27th Street Beach has a kids’ playground, rentals available such as body boards and umbrellas, parking on the beach (fee), and minimal crowds. This beach also has grills, tables, and bonfire pits. It is a great beach to spend the day. For dog lovers, try the Lighthouse Point Park. Not only are dogs allowed on a leash, but there are full facilities such as restrooms, showers, tables, and grills. Apollo Beach is found on the stretch of Canaveral National Seashore. Here you can find parking lot #5, a “clothing optional” beach. It is secluded and void of condos, businesses, etc. You can be your natural self, surrounded by nature! With so many beaches in New Smyrna Beach, you are certain to find the spot just for you.
