The Marine Discovery Center has spent the last 20 years informing and educating citizens and guests about the amazing biodiversity of the Indian River Lagoon. Tagged as the most biologically diverse estuary in North America, the Indian River Lagoon boasts more than 4,000 species and spans 156 miles down Florida's east coast - providing countless ways to engage the public. We invite you to explore one of Florida's natural treasures by booking a spot on one of our guided ecotours.

Come and kayak miles of winding backwater, mangroves and untouched surrounding waters, supporting kayakers from novice to expert. Or, travel the Indian River Lagoon in the comfort of our 40-passenger Discovery pontoon boat and explore the variety of species that call the lagoon home. Open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. We offer fishing, archery and adventure camps for kids throughout the year.
