Airport Road Park

This 25-acre community park offers multiple activities such as soccer and basketball, but in 2011 the highlight was on tennis. With grants from the U.S. Tennis Association, two of the existing 78-foot adult-sized tennis courts were converted into eight 36-foot courts specifically designed for players ages 10 and under. The goal is to encourage more young children to choose tennis as a sport by providing courts that are better suited for their initial training. Players can use smaller, lighter racquets and lower-bouncing balls. The park also includes a playground, restrooms and a picnic area. Open from sunrise to sunset. Lighted facilities open until 11 p.m.
