Canaveral National Seashore

The Canaveral National Seashore is a National Park located at the southernmost point of the island. Since ancient times, this barrier island has provided sanctuary to both people and wildlife. Many threatened and endangered species find refuge here, including sea turtles who nest on its shores. Like first natives and early settlers, you too can find tranquility. Stroll down a wooded trail. Reflect on a pristine undeveloped shoreine - the way things used to be. There is no beach driving since it’s a protected park. Entrance fee is $15 a day per vehicle, and $1 per person for walk-ins & bicyclists.

Summer Hours: Park open daily at 6 a.m. Entrance stations are open daily until 7 p.m. Vehicles may enter the park until the inbound gates are closed at 7:20 p.m. All park operations and gates close at 8 p.m. daily.

Winter Hours: Park open daily at 6 a.m. Entrance stations are open daily until 5 p.m. Vehicles may enter the park until the inbound gates are closed at 5:20 p.m. All park operations and gates close at 6 p.m. daily.
