Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve

This scenic preserve is on 1,637 acres between Port Orange and New Smyrna Beach. Its 536-foot boardwalk begins more than three miles of nature trails leading to the 15-foot observation tower and continues to Rose Bay. The tower overlooks the marsh area near Spruce Creek. Managed by Volusia County, these special public lands offer opportunities for wildlife viewing, non-motorized trail use, and other resource-based activities. Amenities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, a pavilion, wildlife viewing, playground, canoe launch, boardwalk and observation tower. Open daily, sunrise to sunset.
