Tomoka River State Canoe Trail

The Tomoka River paddling trail includes stretches of this north-flowing stream from just above State Road 40 to the river’s mouth in the Tomoka Basin. Two launch points (Riverbend Nature Park and Tomoka State Park) offer opportunities to explore good parts of the Tomoka - including a trip four miles upstream from Riverbed, water levels permitting. The journey from Riverbed Park downstream to Tomoka State Park is five miles. Along this trail, paddlers can view several natural communities and may see alligators, manatees, and a variety of birds.
